Joining Pastel in 2015, midway through my 20-year telecoms career, I felt I’d found a customer-focused company that was primed for growth.
Pastel was positioned as a successful mobile voice, and data specialist. By leveraging my previous industry experience, I was keen to develop these solid foundations and introduce fixed products, including IP solutions and connectivity. New relationships were made with leading suppliers, and we saw considerable growth.
At that time we were solely reselling products on behalf of our partners. We planned to take Pastel into wholesale where we could supply and bill our customers, meaning we could deliver an enhanced experience while strengthening the business.
Several years on, we are supplying, installing, and billing tens of thousands of connections and services to businesses of all sizes throughout the UK!
A key part of my role as Operations Director has been growing and developing our support, project management and billing teams while implementing the systems and processes to help them deliver the best possible service to our customers. This has been an exciting and rewarding task, and the best part has been working alongside a wide group of talented, like-minded professionals.
With Pastel’s offices spread across the UK, I am lucky to work and live in beautiful Cornwall with my wife and two children. We love the outdoors and can usually be found at the beach whenever it’s not raining (and even then, sometimes)!
Pastel couldn’t have evolved in the positive way it has without the hard work and determination of our team, and I’m very excited about the company’s future!
