What we did.

We installed our Pastel Hosted Telephony system across their sites in the South West of England. The installation was quite complex, with five sites to specify and install across, and a number of users to train.

They were so impressed with our Hosted Telephony service, that they have begun to utilise the other services we offer, such as broadband. We gave them lots of options with tiered costs based on what kind of speed they required, and they chose an option that gave 50% faster speed but for a nominal increase in cost.

After initial conversations, it was clear that Pastel offered a more personal service, and the price was very competitive – plus the team was very knowledgeable and able to give us clear and honest advice. We expected to have to wait 12 months before switching, but Pastel offered to buy us out of our current contract which meant we could make the switch immediately.

It wasn’t so much the system that impressed me, but the people behind it – one phone system is pretty much the same as the other. But when it came to installation, Pastel even set up the phones for our staff, helping to put a face to a name. This made it easier to manage the changeover because we knew who we were dealing with; rather than a faceless account manager in a call centre.

What I like about Pastel is if you ask them a question they will do all the research and background work and get it done, nothing is ever a hassle for them. Also, if we have an issue, we email and it’s usually sorted within 20 minutes, whereas we used to wait a week with our old provider.

The proof is in the pudding – I’ve recommended Pastel to a number of people and one contact has already gone on to use their services. I really would recommend them to anyone looking for a cost-effective and hassle-free solution.”
